About this project

HelpNeeded exists for people in the UK who cannot afford legal services, and for those who feel the system has discriminated against them or let them down.

We believe everyone deserves to understand their own situation — clearly, honestly, and based on how things really work. We will never pretend to be something we are not: we give general information and signposting, not legal advice.

The Hope Corner, our AI conversation space, is there because sometimes you just need to talk things through with someone patient. We are upfront that AI makes mistakes — that is why every conversation carries a reminder.

We are preparing to register as a Community Interest Company — a public-benefit organisation under UK law. We publish standard fees low enough not to scare people away — and when cost is a genuine obstacle, we ask people to talk to us so we can look for a solution together. Sustainability and accessibility together: that is the point.
